Bruce is a great trainer

I worked with Bruce for ten sessions. We started off with some basics we all tend to forget and that is what goes into our body is just as important as the fitness. Sometimes we do not notice how harmful even healthy foods can be. The first few sessions I learned technique and how to use the different equipment. What I liked most about working with Bruce is the variety. Being able to work different areas of the body in so many ways prevented me from getting board. Each session we reviewed things he answered questions and showed me new things. I enjoyed working out and have continued to enjoy it. Bruce is a great trainer.

The weight loss program made a lot of sense to me. I have always believed that there is more to consistent and permanent weight loss than calories in calories out. When following the plan for my diet type I consistently lost two pounds a week and have been able to keep it off even when I stray away from my ideal plan for a short time. To date I’ve lost and kept off over 20 lbs. Bruce stressed the importance of strength training for weight loss and even designed an effective workout program for me. He has worked tirelessly with me to help me achieve my goals. He is an awesome support and a wealth of information.

My experience working with Bruce Pahl as a trainer and nutrition coach has been extremely positive. I have had specific measurable results in 3 months including a 10 lb weight loss, feeling less bloated and uncomfortable in my gut, a decrease in my cholesterol and glucose lab results, and an effective resistance exercise plan that stretches my endurance and strengthens my muscles (what I was doing regularly before working with Bruce was actually doing little to no good ~ only keeping all my muscles working, but not building muscle strength or affecting my weight). I find Bruce to be very enthusiastic and genuinely committed to my health and well being while providing just the right amount of “push” to encourage the changes I need to make. I can count on him to be knowledgeable, thorough and dedicated to finding the best plan that is individualized for me. Kept me motivated

I really enjoyed having Bruce as my trainer. He is very enthusiastic and kept me motivated. With my busy life, I needed a trainer that could motivate me to get to the gym. Bruce was able to do that. He is quite versed in all areas of physical fitness. For someone who had not been to the gym in many years, I really liked the functional training we performed. We used ropes, sandbags, kettle bells, and TRX equipment. We also used traditional weights and equipment. Bruce was able to keep the training fresh and new. I would recommend him for his training services.

I absolutely love this class.

I absolutely love this class. I did not take this class to lose weight. I signed up because I wanted to tone, increase my strength, and improve my running. I have a hard time at home with self-disciplining and encouraging myself to get past that “I can not do any more” or “I can’t do that much weight”. Bruce has taught me to believe in myself and encourage me. I have participated in three, ten-week bootcamps. I now can do plank push-ups; I have increased my strength, but most of all my muscle definition. I am toned! This class is perfect for all shapes, sizes, gender and age. I may be skinny but I was weak. Now I am feeling great! I hate it when I have to miss a class. Thanks, Bruce!!!

Pushed me physically & emotionally

Having a stressful, sedentary job I felt extremely out of shape. At my first boot camp class, I was painfully aware that most of the attendees were the age of my sons. Furthermore, I had no idea there would also be kick boxing…NOT at the top of my bucket list. Being somewhat competitive, I was accustomed to being at the top of the class academically. In boot camp, I am not at the top, matter of fact I am probably at the bottom. I have learned that the only person I am in competition with is myself. For me, this class has enabled me to get out of my head and into a body in motion. The class has not only pushed me physically, it has also stretched me emotionally. I have learned to accept that it is OK not to be the best. Although 20 or 30 something is a fantastic age, it’s OK not to be that age anymore. The most important thing is to BE and never stop challenging yourself to be the best you can be, where you are. Pushed to the limit each class, I leave totally drenched in sweat, feeling vibrant and alive. I feel more energetic than I have felt in years. Quoting Joyce Meyer, “I am not where I need to be, but thank God I’m not where I used to be”. If you are curious about Boot Camp and/or wanting to transform your body, consider getting up and showing up. Trust in the process and “know” with each session you will improve. Now is the time. It is never too late. You will be amazed with the results.

Fun & challenging

This has been a fun yet challenging class that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have toned up, dropped one pant size and I feel stronger and have more stamina. I am looking forward to the next 10 week class with continued results.

Afraid I couldn’t do it

I was worried that because of my age (50) and how out of shape I was that I wouldn’t be able to do this, but if I can, anyone can! I went canoeing and was concerned that I would be so very sore after but because of this class I wasn’t sore and my bad back was great. I will be continuing in the next class.
